Important Notice

GateStack is an AI-assisted development platform. AI builders generate code, configurations, and suggestions based on probabilistic models. While GateStack provides approval gates, Watchman monitoring, and rollback capabilities to mitigate risk, it does not guarantee that AI-generated code is correct, secure, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

1. No Guarantee of Code Correctness

AI builders operating within GateStack sessions produce code based on statistical models trained on large datasets. This code may contain errors, security vulnerabilities, performance issues, or logical flaws. The approval gate system is designed to give operators the opportunity to review and catch these issues, but it does not eliminate the possibility of defective code being approved and deployed.

You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating all code produced within GateStack before deploying it to production environments.

2. The Watchman Is Not Infallible

The Watchman monitors agent behavior for scope drift, hallucinations, and risky patterns. It significantly reduces risk but cannot detect every possible issue. The Watchman may produce false positives (flagging safe actions) or false negatives (missing problematic actions). It is a safety layer, not a guarantee.

3. Time Machine Limitations

The Time Machine captures project state snapshots at gate boundaries. While it enables rapid rollback, it cannot undo changes made outside the GateStack session (such as direct edits to your repository, database changes triggered by deployed code, or external API calls made by generated code). Time Machine snapshots are retained according to your plan limits and are permanently deleted after expiration.

4. Professional Advice

GateStack does not provide legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. Code generated by AI builders should not be relied upon for compliance-critical applications (healthcare, finance, aviation, etc.) without thorough independent review by qualified professionals.

5. Third-Party Dependencies

AI builders may suggest or install third-party packages and dependencies. GateStack does not audit, endorse, or guarantee the safety or quality of third-party software. You are responsible for evaluating all dependencies introduced into your project.

6. Availability

GateStack is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure incidents, or third-party provider outages may temporarily affect service availability.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GateStack, Beltech Corp Holdings, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, resulting from your use of the platform or reliance on AI-generated outputs.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the GateStack platform shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to GateStack in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Your Responsibility

By using GateStack, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You will test all generated code in appropriate staging environments before production deployment.
  • You will not rely solely on AI-generated code for security-critical or safety-critical systems without independent human review.
  • Approval of an action through a GateStack gate constitutes your acceptance of responsibility for that action.
  • You will maintain your own backups independent of GateStack Time Machine snapshots.
